Party Guacamole

Thanks to Deborah Thomas for this delicious guacamole recipe that has been making appearances at our dinner table for about 30 years!  The trick to this recipe is using fresh vegetables and plain yogurt (non-fat yogurt is fine).

Directions

  1. Chop onions, tomatoes (cherry tomatoes if you have them), cilantro, and green/red/orange/yellow peppers if you have them.
  2. Cut a ripe avocado in half, scoop out the green stuff with a spoon, and put in separate bowl.  Mash it until it’s chunky.
  3. Add 3-4 tablespoons of plain yogurt (I use non-fat yogurt) to the avocado and mix well.
  4. Add all the veggies
  5. Add fresh lemon or lime juice, salt, pepper, and crushed chile to taste

Serve with taco chips, carrots, or green pepper slices.
